Service · Packaging

Food packaging has two jobs that pull in different directions: it must make the product look irresistible and it must carry a lot of mandatory information. We design food packs that do both — and that print well on the materials food brands actually use.

Who food packaging design is for

Food packaging design is for snack, spice, staples, sweets, bakery and beverage brands — from home businesses moving into retail to established manufacturers launching new lines.

Compared with general packaging design, it focuses on the two things food packs are judged on: appetite appeal, and the mandatory information Indian food labels carry.

  • Moving from local packs to supermarket and quick-commerce shelves
  • Mandatory information added last, now cluttering the design
  • Product photography or illustration that does not look appetising in print
  • A growing list of flavours and pack sizes that needs one system

Appetite appeal and clarity

Shoppers decide quickly. Food packs need a clear hero — the product, its taste or its origin — a variant system that is easy to scan, and honest visual cues about what is inside.

Mandatory information, designed properly

Food packs in India carry information such as the product name, ingredients, nutrition information, veg/non-veg symbol, net quantity, MRP, manufacturer details, FSSAI logo and licence number, batch and date marking. We plan space for it from the start instead of squeezing it in at the end.

Formats for food

Stand-up pouches with zippers and windows, laminated rolls for sachets, mono cartons, jars and bottles with labels, and festive gift packs.

FAQ

Food Packaging Design — frequently asked questions

Do you know Indian food labelling requirements?

We design with the typical FSSAI and Legal Metrology requirements in mind and leave the right space for them. Final regulatory content should always be verified by you or your compliance advisor for your specific product.

Can you design packaging for quick commerce and online listings?

Yes. We check that the pack front reads clearly as a small thumbnail and can produce listing images and mockups.
