Industry · Food & Beverage

Food is bought with the eyes first and the rules second. Packs need appetite appeal, fast variant recognition and plenty of mandatory information — on materials that behave very differently in print.

Challenges

What makes design in this category hard

Appetite appeal

Making the product look fresh and tasty without misleading imagery.

Label information

Fitting ingredients, nutrition, allergens, veg/non-veg marks, FSSAI details and dates without cluttering the pack.

Many variants

Flavours and pack sizes that must be told apart instantly but still look like one brand.

Print materials

Laminates, metallised films and kraft papers each change how colours reproduce.

Approach

How we approach it

We start at the shelf — kirana, supermarket, quick commerce or marketplace thumbnail — and design the pack to win there.

Mandatory information is planned into the layout from the first concept, and every pack is checked on the converter's dieline before artwork is released.

Typical work for food and beverage brands includes pouch and carton design, jar and bottle labels, festive gift packs, a variant system for flavours and pack sizes, and listing images for quick commerce and marketplaces.

FAQ

Food & Beverage — questions

What information should a food pack carry in India?

Food packs commonly carry the product name, ingredients, nutrition information, the veg or non-veg symbol, net quantity, MRP, manufacturer details, the FSSAI logo and licence number, and batch and date marking. We plan space for all of it from the first concept; the exact text must come from you and be checked against current FSSAI and Legal Metrology rules for your product.

Can you design food packaging that works on quick-commerce apps?

Yes. On quick-commerce and marketplace apps, shoppers often see the pack as a small thumbnail, so we check that the brand, product name and variant stay readable at that size, and can produce listing images from the final artwork.
